■    Quantum mechanical methods ( Ab initio; Density Function Theory and

some Semi-empirical methods) have many practical applications to the

study of molecular structure and properties, e.g.

■   The analysis of thermodynamic and kinetically stable intermediates

species during the reactions.

■   Calculating relative conformational energies of a series of analogous

structures.

■   Obtaining partial atomic charges, using Mulliken population analysis, to

predict likely sites of attack.

■   Transition state search for conformers and reactions. Potential energy

surface applications.

■   Adsorption Theoretical and Experimental Applications.

- Heavy metals Adsorption on Bentonite with Special references to Water Pollution.

- The adsorption Characteristics and Porous Structure of Bentonite adsorbents.
